KEY EVENTS

Cultural education holds a special place at CREEA and CHIGURU. Recognizing the significance of preserving and celebrating Indian traditions with the younger generation, both CREEA and Chiguru come together each year to mark the joyous occasion of Janmashtami. On the auspicious day of Janmashtami, our school transforms into a vibrant spectacle, adorned with the fragrance of fresh blooms, the soothing scent of camphor, and the melodious chiming of bells that permeates the air. Our students, resplendent in their attire as Lord Krishna and Radha, add to the charm of the day. Bal Gopal, the child deity, is lovingly placed in a cradle and presented with his favorite delicacies. The day is filled with devotional Aarati and bhajans, as well as spirited song and dance performances by our talented students. Furthermore, our school calendar is dotted with other cultural festivities throughout the year, including Kite Day, Ganesha Chathurthi, Onam, Doll House, Market Day, and Fair, celebrated in honor of Children’s Day. We also mark Christmas with enthusiasm, along with Sankranthi, Open House, Holi, and Ugadi, ensuring that our students have a rich cultural experience throughout their educational journey.
The annual function serves as the crowning moment of the school’s academic year, epitomizing the spirit of teamwork and the embodiment of our school’s core principles. At CREAA, we revel in the celebration of our Annual Day function, each year marked by a unique theme that encapsulates the rich tapestry of our nation, culture, heritage, and values. These themes are thoughtfully chosen to align with our holistic approach to knowledge and learning. For instance, ‘Karunada Sambrama 2018’ was a splendid portrayal of Karnataka’s history and its illustrious heritage. In 2019, we saluted the bravery and sacrifices of our soldiers with ‘How’s the Josh?’ – an homage that shed light on their valor, challenges, and triumphs. The Annual event culminates with a spectacular grand finale, a performance uniting all students and the entire CREAA team on one stage. This collective endeavor conveys a unique message inspired by the Annual theme, leaving a lasting impact on all who attend.
Just as a recipe lacks a soul, it is the cook who must infuse it with flavor. Our school provides a unique platform for children to embark on a culinary journey, learning and creating new recipes that require no open flame. Once a month, on the first Wednesday, our school hosts ‘Cooking Without Fire’ sessions, organized according to grade levels. These sessions are designed to raise awareness about the nutritional benefits of flameless cooking, cultivate teamwork and culinary skills, emphasize the importance of a healthy diet, and promote an aversion to junk food. During these sessions, students collaborate to prepare a buffet of delectable dishes, and our teaching staff is invited to savor the culinary creations. The entire process is meticulously recorded in a logbook, and the teachers evaluate the students’ culinary efforts.
